Hello Plus Manic Monday

Sorry I was such a stick in the mud yesterday about Sunday Stealing. I really do love that meme. Oh well, maybe next week will be 'different'. Yesterday was an OK day. I pretty much got alot of reading done and some stuff around the apartment.

Last night my hubby and I went to Fuddruckers for dinner. It was very good. The "excitement" of the evening was what happened to this poor kid at the table next to us. He got a milk shake. The moment he goes to take a sip, it falls toward him and the entire thing spilled on his shirt and pants. You had to see the mess! His mother and two bus staff came to help him. I felt SO bad for the kid because he looked mortified from embarrassment, and when he left his shirt and pants were soaked going into 18 degree weather.

I don't know if any of you have a Fuddruckers near you, but I highly recommend their onion rings. You know I'm always looking out for you guys.

Well today is my "day off". I'm running errands with my hubby then this afternoon I have a recheck at my podiatrist. Another jam packed day. Ugh.

What's one of the simple pleasures in your life?
Playing with my cat, the computer, and reading. Very simple stuff. It doesn't take much to make me happy

What do you like to snack on when you watch a movie?

Either popcorn or ice cream

If you were a Survivor contestant, what would be your luxury item?

Oh, that is easy...a one way ticket the hell out of there.

Have you ever returned an item to a store for a refund after having used it?
Yes I have. I once bought this ridiculous product that was supposed to help clean your bathtub. It was a electronic scrubber of some sort. When you put pressure on it, it would stop running. It was a complete waste of money. I brought it back to the store. I was honest when I brought it back and told the clerk it didn't work. I was given a refund. I'm sure I brought other things back that I have used, but I can't remember what they were right now.

You are going out for the evening. If your partner objects to what you are wearing, would you change your clothing?

Yes because I value my husband's opinion. In the thirteen years we have been together he has never once told me he objected to anything I have ever worn. So if he did from this point on, I would trust him.

What item that you don’t currently possess would you most like to have in your home?

A plasma TV.

What is the most expensive meal you've ever eaten?
We are quite boring. The biggest check we ever had at a restaurant was in the $80 range. That is because it was our anniversary and we had three two pitchers of red Sangria, appetizers (stuffed mushrooms and Portuguese sausage), entrees (Shrimp scampi and chicken franchese), dessert (Flan and tiramisu) and cappuchinos.

What is the fastest speed you've ever traveled in a car?
The fastest I have ever driven a car is 85mph. I've been in a car where the driver went 125mph because he had a race car engine in it. It was an open quiet highway. Well it was until I started screaming.

What is the highest building you've ever been to the top floor of?
I'm not sure. I've never been in a really tall building. I don't think I ever went over 20 or so floors and I'm not sure what building it was.

It's "Cyber Monday" today, the ceremonial kick-off of the holiday online shopping season in the United States. Do you do much online shopping, holiday or otherwise?
I have to be honest, I do ALOT of my shopping online. I love the convenience, the bargains, the free shipping, and most importanly I love not dealing with the crowds or parking issues. I shop online all year round.

Are you a Mac or a PC user? Why?

I am a PC user. I'm not certain why, it is all I've ever used. I don't think I would go to MAC simply because it is unfamiliar to me. I much prefer my home laptop vs my work desktop. I love having a laptop. Not that it was one of the questions. I just felt like adding that.

What website do you spend more time on than you care to admit?
BLOGGER! But I care to admit it. I love it. I've met so many wonderful people here.

Do you ever talk to yourself out loud? What do you talk about?
I talk to myself all the time. I can freely admit it. Ok, not talk to myself like, "look at that girl over there, she needs a padded room". I am more like I think outloud. Sometimes at work, I'll read an email out loud so I can remember a date or a destination so when I look it up on the reservation screen I don't have to keep switching webpages. On my long commute, I am able to entertain myself by singing to myself. That is pretty much it.

What stresses you out?

Before and after work - my long commute, inconsiderate drivers, people who drive while talking on handheld cell phones since it is against the law in NJ, people who tailgate, people who leave their turn signals on for miles, people who don't use turn signals at all, people who flash their high beams at you when you are doing 5mph over the speed limit in the slow lane - move the hell over if you don't like it...UGH! I'm sorry, didn't mean to ramble like that.
At work - schedule changes and people who can't follow directions.
Personal life - worrying about Harley's health and my sister's health. I also worry about being able to pay the monthly bills, especially the electric bill. I have electric heat! ugh!

What are your secret talents?
I don't think it is a secret talent. I love to write and blog.

How many hours of TV do you watch per week? Do you feel that's too much, not enough or just right?
New TV shows I only watch 1/2 hour of Gary Unmarried and I confess, I have been watching the new 90210. So an hour and a half of new TV. When Lost comes back on in February that will be another hour. I think that it is just the right amount of time. I have much more important things to do like play with Harley and blog.

Which of the 5 senses do you feel is your strongest sense?
Taste. Definitely taste. Next would be smell.

What's the wackiest belief you held as a child?
I can't think of one right now.
