Merry Early Christmas to us. Well, not really. We were forced into purchasing a new television because our old one finally met the TV tube in the sky. It was one of those box tvs which had a dvd/vcr combo in it. So we literally lost 3 things at once when it went.
After much research and a return of an LG model, we finally are proud owners of a Panasonic Viera LCD 32in TV. In my entire life, this is the largest TV I have ever owned. Our other one that died was 19 inches. So this is like a movie screen to me now. We got an AMAZING deal on this TV. We were going to get a 22in model in another store and we got this 32in model for what we would have paid for the 22in model!!
On Wednesday, DirecTV is coming to give us our free upgrade to HDTV along with replacing our old dish with a HD dish AND bringing us a FREE DVR!! How awesome is that? Now to learn how to use all this stuff. Larry and I are not really that technically advanced. At all. Seriously.
Well I can tell you this, we weren't financially ready to make this purchase considering I am laid off. BUT, I am SO glad we did. This TV plays amazing without the HD being hooked up. I cannot wait to see what will happen on Wednesday. I also cannot wait to see "Lost" in HD. Mmmmm Sawyer in HD.

Congrats girl! When I got my first HD TV, I was shocked to see all the pores and skin flaws on these gorgeous women. Amazing! I think it is a mixed bag though. But the quality is great!

You will frakkin' LOVE DVR. I seriously can't imagine my life without it. I honestly don't remember my TV-viewing life before DVR...ahhh, the luxury of getting to watch my programs at my leisure, and not have to be a slave to the boob tube anymore.
I love our HDTV so beautiful and the DVR is the bomb would not give it up for nothin! Hope your Turkey day was wonderful Jodi!
