Semi Good News

Yesterday (since it is after midnight), we took a trip to the Jersey Shore. We went to Point Pleasant Beach. It was like a ghost town there. The boardwalk was very quiet. The beach was completely empty. At one point, Larry and I had the whole beach to ourselves. I took some pictures and videos. The video I put up on the previous post was from my cell phone which wasn't the greatest of quality. This one I have below is from my digital camera (Much better quality!) It was really beautiful and SO peaceful.
Onto my good news! When we got to the shore, I spoke with the Supervisor at Workforce and she gave me a grant certification interview!!!! It is scheduled for October 16th...just 10 days before the class is going to start! I will know that day if I am eligible for the grant. It may take a few weeks to receive the funds, but as long as I am approved by Workforce, the University said I would be able to start the program! Can you believe they already accepted me? They wanted to know if Workforce needed my acceptance letter now or after the certification interview. They said they are "happy to have me"! They are even holding a seat for me in the class with hopes that I get approved for my grant! Please keep your fingers crossed for me that I receive this grant! I have almost all the paperwork in order. I'm just waiting on some transcripts. I'll have that before next month. I cannot believe how my prayers were answered that I got this interview. The only thing that worries me is that the State funds are dry. I'm only working now with a Federal grant now. Ugh!


On the way home from the shore, I stopped at a "scrubs" shop. I wanted to make sure that I found a place with a big selection. Also, I wanted to be sure the tops were long enough because I like to cover my heiney. I'm not a tucker. They have SO many colors to choose from! So now I know my size and can just walk in and buy off the rack if I receive the grant because I will have only 10 days to get everything in order. I will need to get at least 5 sets of scrubs because I will need to wear them to school 4 days a week and the hospital I will be externing at 1 day a week. I wish I knew from now, but I'm not complaining because I'm SO fortunate I got that appointment!!!
