Well I finally have something constructive to say! I've been keeping blog quiet because I truly feel like my life is SO boring. I don't want to subject you all to my boredom. I mean why push it on you all? It is bad enough I have to live it. Like the post prior to this...even Harley finds me boring. Did you all see the video? He yawned in my face!! BUT.....
I do have two exciting sets of news for you!!
Number One: Sue (Coffee Slut) and I are finally going to meet in less than 3 weeks. How cool is that? I'm very excited! My sister Jenny and I are going to meet Sue and HSHF (her sister/her friend) Dianne at a half-way point in Connecticut. We are all very excited. We have extended the invitation to 3 other bloggy friends that are within driving distance that we would love to meet. Sadly, two cannot make it but one may be able to!!! I'll give you a hint...the person that may be able to meet us is 1)male 2)HYSTERICAL and 3) a great guy! Gee, I wonder who that can be? I would think it would be awesome to meet him. I am looking so very forward to meeting Sue. She has become a very special friend and I really am so thankful our blogs brought us together! Yes, we will post pictures.
Number Two: I have finally figured what I want to be when I grow up. Ready folks....a medical assistant. I figured I was just settling for the billing & coding. I don't want to be behind a computer anymore. I've done that for the past 19yrs as a travel agent. I want something hands-on. I want to help people. I want to make a difference in people's lives. I went to the Career Beacon Workshop at Workforce Development (sponsored by NJ Division of Labor). I am now officially on the waiting list for a grant to pay for the class/certification program I want to take at a local University. This program is supposed to be the best in the state! Please keep your fingers crossed that it comes through!! Normally it is a 4 to 6 month wait for the people to get the "certification appointment". I keep calling the lady who makes the appointments. I was told to call back Wednesday of this upcoming week and she is going to put me on the cancellation list. I need this to happen quickly because...the class starts on October 26th and ends at the end of April. It is a 6 month course. It is a very intensive program. I will be learning SO much in so little time. I will even learn phlebotomy! Watch out or I'll "stick it to ya" - LOL! Seriously though, I would be going to school Monday through Thursday and on Friday I would be an extern at a hospital. I really want to do this guys. Oh and get this...we have to wear scrubs. We can wear any kind of scrubs. Even the Elvis scrub tops. (You know I asked right?)
1. When you go to Wowmart, what one thing do you get every single time, besides a funky-wheeled squeaking cart full of frustration?
Usually deodorant. Secret Platinum Powder Fresh Gel. Aren't you glad you asked?
2. What is something that people are currently “into” that you just don’t get or appreciate?
Twitter. I did sign up for it, but I'm not into it. I much prefer my Facebook addiction.
3. What is something that really hoists your sail that other people might feel “ho-hum” about?
Elvis Presley. Not only does he hoist my sail, he floats my boat & shivers me timbers.
4. Favorite song to sing in the shower or car?
A song I made up about Harley sung to the melody of "Yellow Submarine"...Picture it..."In the hills of Napoli, lived a boy named Harley" - Yes, I am that weird. As Berleen says..I'm "a goof"..LOL!
5. A really great salad must have this ingredient:
Fat Free or Low Fat cheese.
6. What advice in a nutshell would you give to new bloggers?
People don't like capcha words.
7. What was the alternate name that your parents almost named you? Do you wish they had chosen it instead of the one they gave you?
Consuela. I swear to God! We do not have a hint of Spanish in us at all. My Mother loved that name for some reason and it was down to Consuela or Jodi for a girl. If I was a boy I would have been named Anthony. As far as do I wish she named me Consuela...No. I would have wanted to be nicknamed Connie or something.
8. What in your life are you waiting for?
The grant for my program at the University
9. You get a package in the mail. What is it, and who is it from?
It is from Sue. She likes surprising me.
10. Today–what song represents you?
"Moody Blue" - hence where I got the blog name from. LOL....Here you go ladies and gentlemen, for your listening pleasure.....
11. What is one thing that blogging has taught you about yourself?
That I love to write and people actually care about what I have to say.
12. How are you going to (or how did you) choose the clothes you’re wearing today? Well I was in an Elvisy mood so I wore an Elvis t-shirt and my favorite pair of jeans. Because of the weight loss I have very few things that fit me right because everything else is too big. So, I tend to wear the stuff that fits me right alot.
What do they say about you in general or specifically how you’re feeling today? I would say that the shirt I wore really represents me. LOL

Hey Jodi! Thanks for playing along. One thing I enjoy about your blog is that you are always true to your voice. Have a great weekend.

Consuela. That reminds me of a not so PC joke.
Thank you so much for your comments on my "apathy" post. It meant a lot to know that I'm not alone. And I don't get Twitter either!
Hope you have fun meeting your blog friends (I had tons of fun when I tried it), and good luck with getting on your medical assistant course. Good answers. I don't like Twitter or Facebook either, but then again I'm so unhip I had to look up capcha. Consuela? What were your parents thinking?
*fingers crossed*
Have a great weekend!!
Consuela? Holy moly! Not you at all. Oh about that meeting, you think I wouldn't show? What part of me telling Sue I'd be there was confusing? :) In fact she's asked me to help pick the spot. Which I hope to get around to today...
Thanks everyone for your comments!!
@ Bud ... Holy Moly could you imagine? I am not a Consuela. I don't know what my mother was thinking. Good thing she changed her mind. I'm so glad you are able to meet us. It will be alot of fun!!! You know Michelle and MaBelle are welcome too ;)
