I Miss LOST Wednesday

These pictures are just one of the many reasons why I miss LOST on either Wednesdays or Thursdays. 10 month hiatuses are ridiculous.

Reasons why I love these pictures - Josh Holloway, love old mustangs, the ocean, rainbows, blue sky, oh yeah & Josh Holloway

Something else I miss about LOST is HURLEY!!! He always makes me smile. Major kudos go out to Jorge Garcia!

Hurley & Sawyer are my two favorite characters (Jorge & Josh are awesome!)

Lost Review - Episode 4.11 - "Cabin Fever"

OK, can somebody please tell me what the heck went on last night? The show was just so weird. The whole thing about Richard being there during different points of Locke's life. The other man that showed up at Hurley's mental institution was Locke's orderly, and apparently the one who recruited the people for the freighter. Also, the freighter is now behind in time. Island time, the doctor already floated up dead. That was before Jack's surgery. Now, we see the man get murdered and we flash over to the island and Jack is being scolded for walking around after his surgery. This whole time warp thing really is bizarre. Well, what isn't with this show. No matter what though, I keep watching and loving it - even when I don't get it.

My friends thought I was nuts when I told them that when Locke was in the cabin months ago (our time of course) that when he saw "Jacob" in the rocking chair - someone slowed down and paused it & posted the picture and it was Christian Shepherd. No one believed me. Yay!! I was right! LOL! Now will Claire find out that her & Jack are brother & sister? And by the way...what the heck was up with Claire....the way she was like "I'm here with him". I swear the way she said it & the way she looked, it was like she was drunk or stoned or something. You could tell by this picture -

Again I must stress the importance of this picture - since this man is ummmm DEAD! Is Claire capable of seeing dead people too? Locke can, Jack can, Hurley can...the list goes on and on.

And lastly this is my favorite part of the whole show...just cause Hurley is one of my favorites and no matter what he always is sweet and considerate of others - even when the other guy is a lunatic who kills a mass of people, throws them in a pit & is a brainwashing control freak.

Line of the night -
Hurley to Locke as he hands him a bottle of water after he came out of the pit -

"Here you go. Drink up, dude. Digging through dead bodies takes it out of you."

Lost Review - Episode 4.10 - "Something Nice Back Home"

WOW, what an episode. I think it answered some questions and like normal, raised other questions. I knew as soon as Jack tripped on the toy that this was a flash-forward episode and that he was at Kate's. That was very predictable. The toy gave it away. LOL! We also learn that in the post episode it is August 2007. Thank you to the newspaper Jack glanced out in the kitchen about the Yankees sweeping the Red Sox. That happened in mid-August of 2007. Now the plane crash was in September of 2004, which makes my accurate guess in a past post that Aaron looked around 3 years old. We also now know that this flash-forward is before Jack's flash-forward from last year. We know this because Jack got the prescription from the other doctor and starts what looks like an addiction to drugs and alcohol. We also see him have visions of his Dad. So that explains the reference in the past Jack flash-forward of last year when he told the doctor to "go ask his father". He is suffering from the same thing Hurley is, he is having visions of people that died on the island.

Now speaking of Hurley, how good of a a job did Jorge Garcia do with that scene between Hurley & Jack. I really felt for Hurley. He was so believable. When he started talking about Heaven, my first thought was 'here we go again with the Heaven and Hell thing...these writers are playing around with us again!" Anyway, I loved the scene in the hospital, even if it was a few minutes.

The episode really was jam-packed. Jack had his appendix removed by a fertility doctor and dentist. It is now definitely confirmed that both Danielle & Carl were killed. Remember, we hadn't seen the bodies. Anything was possible, they could have gotten up & walked away. But nope, they were barely buried and found by ghost-whisperer Miles. That guy freaks me out. He was given a "restraining order" from Sawyer to stay away from Claire. How weird was it that he wouldn't wake up Sawyer to let him know that Claire went off in the jungle in the middle of the night. Also, he may have "seen" the Dad she referred to. It was just bizarre. Maybe this explains why Aaron went home with Kate. Maybe they don't find Claire and they figure to get the baby off the island for him to have a normal life. Well as normal as normal could be with Kate as his "mother". One other point I would like to make is - I really like that helicopter guy Frank Lipidus. He just seems cool and out to always protect everyone. He knows who the "crooked" people are. I don't know, I just get a good feeling about him. I think he will play a pivotal part in rescuing the Oceanic 6. I just hope he doesn't suffer the consequences for it, but knowing the way that he is portrayed, I can see him sacrificing himself. Especially with the baby being involved, just like last night.

Another thing - ENGAGED?? Well we know it doesn't last because we saw them last year in a future flash-forward meeting at the airport when Jack said the whole "We got to go back" speech. That is when we first hear the "him" as being Aaron. Remember she said she had to get back to him "because he would wonder where she was". Wonder what she has to "do" for Sawyer that got post-island Jack all upset. I bet it involves his child or the woman of his child?

LOST Review Episode 4.09 "The Shape Of Things To Come"

How adorable are these two? This is a picture of Josh Holloway & Jorge Garcia who play Sawyer & Hurley on LOST.

Tonight after another month long hiatus due to the writer's strike, LOST premiered it's 9th episode of the 4th Season. The only part of the episode I liked was that it portrayed the friendship between Hurley & Sawyer. Hurley was taking care of baby Aaron & Sawyer was trying to help Claire. The way Hurley was concerned about Sawyer getting into the barricaded "other's" house. Later on Sawyer wanted Hurley to go back with him, Aaron & Claire to "Jack's camp". I love how he threatened Locke "If you hurt one hair on his curly head..so help me God..." Sawyer needed a friend besides Kate. We all know how that ended up. LOL! Now that Charlie died, Hurley needed a friend too. So I think this "pairing" is adorable & funny & sweet at the same time.

As for the rest of the episode. It was OK. I wasn't thrilled with it. I don't like how they killed off Alex in front of Ben. More questions come up, more answers not answered. The whole Ben/Charles Widmore conversation in his suite was bizarre. The whole meet-up between future Sayid & Ben in Tunisia. The reveal that Sayid finds Nadia & marries her, but she winds up getting killed. It is like hearing the punchline before even hearing the joke. It is hard to explain, but you LOST fans will know what I'm talking about. Just weird.

LOST Review - "Meet Kevin Johnson" Episode 4.08

Boy oh boy, this show continues to amaze me. "The Island won't let you?" Did you all catch that? It sounds like something Locke would say. I was like that is a 'Lockeism'. We even got the pleasure of hearing a Hurleyism - 'foreverago' -->Love it! Anyway, back to the show. So last night we learned that Michael & Walt did indeed leave the island. But it looks like getting to leave wasn't all it was cracked up to be. He had Walt mad at him, his mother mad at him & to top it off tried to kill himself unsuccessfully a number of times. It seems that guilt is taking him over. When Tom showed up in the alley in NYC, that was when things got really strange for me. Um, Tom is dead! How did that happen? I guess the island didn't let him die huh? What is up with that? Then why are so many dead. Is the island selective? What about Sayid turning Michael in? What will happen to him? Also, did anyone catch that Walt was the normal size of a 9yr old in the window. The actor is alot bigger now and older looking since he reached puberty. I'm wondering if they edited it from an old scene and super-imposed it in the window.

Well, as the spoilers said, someone would die tonight & Danielle's name was on a list of about 8 people. I felt SO bad. I really had a bad feeling when Ben handed Alex the map that something bad was going to happen. He needs to control everything and everyone. Then when Carl said he didn't have a good feeling. I was like 'uh oh, this is it'. She was on that island for 16yrs and just found her daughter that she thought was dead. She died trying to protect her. Even Alex figured it out when she stood up and said not to shoot that she was Ben's daughter. She knew Ben sent them to kill them. I was just very sad. But hey, you never know..maybe the island didn't let Danielle die? LOL!

I was very happy to get to see Sawyer even for a few moments last night. I always love seeing Hurley. He makes me smile because he is just so sweet. Looks like we will have to wait until April 24th to see what happens next. It also confirmed that was all the Oceanic 6. Alot of people didn't want to include Aaron because he was a child, but he definitely was one of them. Should be interesting. Any thoughts or comments are welcome.

American Idol & LOST Recaps

This will serve as my recap of both
American Idol Top 12 minus 1
&
Lost - Episode 4.07 - Ji Yeon

Well, I suppose my putting "Spoiler Alert" is old news now - LOL! I honestly have to say that I did not expect David to go home last night during the elimination show last evening. I honestly thought Kristy Lee Cook was going to go home. But when David was called to the bottom 3 & he was like "just because I'm in the bottom 3 doesn't mean I'm going home tonight". He was all cocky when he said it. So, I am now glad it was him. I honestly had nothing against Kristy Lee, it is just the last 2 weeks I didn't care for her performances. I was also upset that I was subjected to hearing her sing, thanks to Simon. "the Dolly Parton on helium" version of The Beatles - "Eight Days A Week". That is one of my favorites of them too. Well, I will get past it. LOL! Maybe it is the whole "scandal" with David that stopped people from voting for him. Who knows? But one thing I do know is .... my guys David Cook & Michael Johns are still there! Woo-Hoo!!! We shall see what next week brings.

Now onto Lost. Again, please note that there are MAJOR spoilers in this paragraph & if you haven't seen the episode yet, please do not continue to read. Ok, now that I warned ya...Onto my thoughts of the show tonight. Can I just say - "Oh My God!!" I was SO confused in the beginning. I thought that since the scene where Sun is off the island & shows she was back in Korea that it was a flash-back. But indeed it was a flash-forward meaning - Sun is one of the Oceanic 6!! I was SO happy *and* she had a pregnant belly meaning she made it off the island & the baby is OK too! But where was Jin? We see that Sun is going into labor & was having problems. Then we see Jin running around town trying to find a panda stuffed animal & he is adament about getting this stuffed animal. Little did we know that Jin's story was a flashback..not a flash-forward like Sun's. I was SO shocked because I was adding up in my head the Oceanic 6 because they said that we will know everyone that is part of the Oceanic 6. So I was thinking 1) Hurley 2) Kate 3) Jack 4) Sayid 5) Sun and Yay!! 6) Jin. But WRONG! Jin is dead!!! When Hurley came to see Sun I thought it was for seeing little Ji Yeon, the baby she gave birth to. But it was to see the baby & go to Jin's grave! I was SO upset because I just think Jin totally redeemed himself & was now the perfect husband for Sun. So who is the 6th member...we know little Aaron survives...does he count as #6 because he was born on the island & in Claire's womb when the plane crashed? So if that is the case we then know who the Oceanic 6 are. All I know is this, I don't want Jin to die! I didn't want Charlie to die! I'm SO confused. I do know one other thing though...we were all right who suspected Michael to be the spy on the freighter. Um, I mean "Kevin Johnson". I want to know what Ben did that makes him so wanted by Charles Widemore. I want to know what he does to influence such strong characters like Locke (last episode letting him "go") and Sayid (flashback of him working for him) to trust him. By the way, I am not including Ben in the Oceanic 6 list since he was already on the island. There are so many questions. All I know is this, the writers are incredible. I don't want for this show to ever end!!

Tuesday Commute Thoughts & Rants

I have a long commute to my job. It is 45 miles but takes anywhere from 1hr 15 mins to 1hr 45 mins each way depending on traffic. If any of you have seen the Sopranos "opening" song with Tony driving on the main highway, that is pretty much all I see. So that leaves me with alot of time to "think". Normally, I listen to my Elvis Cd's or to morning radio shows but today, I just "thought". I thought about alot of stuff that irks me. I would like to share it with you all. If you have any of the same quirks or would like to share yours with me, please feel free to comment. I don't mean any disrespect by this list. I just need to post down stuff that has been bothering me as of late.

What bothers me about New Jersey
  1. Governor John Corzine and his "Save Our State" plan
  2. Toll costs
  3. Gas prices
  4. Road conditions - holes and construction everywhere!

What bothers me about commuting

  1. See above #2 and #3 and #4
  2. How no matter how fast you drive, it is not fast enough. If I am doing 60 miles an hour in the slow lane and the speed limit is 55 I get some moron behind me "flashing their headlights" at me. There are 3 lanes to my left, why don't they use them?
  3. Inconsiderate drivers
  4. Lane changers. Yes, they will get there 1 minute faster!
  5. People who don't turn off their turn signal (when it doesn't go off automatically)
  6. People who have road rage
  7. People who in traffic drive on the shoulder and get away with it
  8. In traffic when you move up a foot & the person behind you follows suit and almost rear-ends you each time.
  9. The biggest thing that irks me is TRAFFIC!!!!
  10. New Jersey congestion on the roadways. Too many cars!!

Now onto Television:

What bothers me about American Idol

  1. Randy saying everyone is "pitchy".
  2. It actually doesn't bother me because normally it is funny but just had to mention that Paula sometimes just doesn't make sense and everyone is a "bright shining star". Too funny!
  3. This does bother me though - how Simon can never let Paula get out what she wants to say & I think that is Paula's problem. He keeps interrupting her & she loses her train of thought.
  4. Simon's eye rolls
  5. How Ryan always brings us to a commercial when he is eliminating people.

What bothers me about LOST

  1. How Charlie is forgotten already. In LOST time, he has only been dead what - a couple of days? The only mention in the last episode was Claire saying Charlie said it wasn't Penny's boat. I'm also perturbed that they didn't show her finding the Drive Shaft ring in Aaron's bassinet and also Desmond hadn't given her the list Charlie put in his pocket when he knocked him out.
  2. Jack - just in general (forgive me Jack fans...I can't help it!)
  3. Kate ALWAYS having to go on a mission. She can never stay put.
  4. The new people that came to "rescue" them.
  5. Those whispers

My goodness, what got into me this afternoon. Well, I just needed to "get that out". It is just stuff that bothers me. I want to see if any of you have similar idiosyncrasies like I have or if you have others you would like to share.

I promise my next post will be more positive. LOL! Thanks for "listening" to me vent.
