Wednesday Heat Wave Break

Today is Wednesday! Yay, midweek! Sorry I haven't been updating my blog lately. I just haven't had anything new to say or anything interesting that has happened. This past weekend I spent Saturday all day inside. On Sunday, I went into Staten Island to spend the day with my friend who lives there. Then Monday, it was back to work.

We have had a heck of a heat wave here in New Jersey. The heat has been unbearable. So many people are without electricity due to all the AC's being on high blast. We also had a storm last night that knocked power out to 100K plus families. Luckily no one I know was affected, but still am so concerned about those who were. Today is the first break we have gotten from the heat wave. We have had 4 days of near 100 degree temperatures with very high humidity levels. In NJ, this is record setting for this early in June.

I do have a sister update though. The urologist decided to put the stent back in her from the kidney down to the bladder. If this relieves the pain (minus any bladder spasms) then he will know for sure the obstruction is back in her kidney. At that point he will perform surgery on her to manually clear/clean the obstruction and try to correct it. This is the "step 2" surgery. We were originally led to believe that it would be laperscopic surgery, but it will not be. It will be cutting her open. So, we are nervous about that. I'm praying that this will be the one to fix her for good because the step 3 surgery would be removing her kidney and we are obviously trying to avoid that. She is in alot of pain so hopefully this stent will do more to help her. The last stent was very painful for her, but the urologist said this one would be smaller.

I'm hoping all is well with all my bloggy friends. Again, I apologize for my abscence.
