I saw this on the news last night. Meet "Princess Chunk". She was found walking the streets in Voorhees NJ this past Saturday. She weighs in at a whopping 44 pounds! My cat Harley is 16 pounds which is big for a cat. She is almost 3 times his size! Officials are trying to figure out how exactly a 44 pound cat goes missing. Speculations are that either she was left behind or she escaped from a house, or God forbid the owner passed away. I just love her face!! She is the talk of New Jersey right now. Princess Chunk is our new feline celebrity.
Luckily she is being fostered by one of the shelter volunteers, Deborah Wright, from the Camden County Animal Shelter. In case no one comes to claim her by Saturday the shelter already has 6 applications in for people willing to adopt her. So thank God, she will be cared for.

BLACKWOOD, N.J. - Officials at the Camden County Animal Shelter are trying to figure out how someone lost a 44-pound cat. The cat was found outside, without a collar, in Voorhees. The largest tabby on record weighed 46 pounds, 15 ounces. That cat, who lived in Australia, died in the 1980s. Shelter officials are calling the kitty "Princess Chunk."
Shelter volunteer Deborah Wright tells The Courier Post of Cherry Hill the cat is built like a quarterback. The cat's owner has until Saturday to reclaim her. After that, "Chunk" will be eligible for adoption.

Awww thanks Dianne! Yeah, I think "Princess Chunk" has a cute face. Plus she was SO frightened by all the media with the cameras and lights. They have a video of her & she looked scared. Guess she isn't used to all of this attention.
I hope that they keep up posted on her story. I want to know if the owner comes forward or someone who knows the owner. Someone HAS to know this cat (for obvious reasons..awww!!!)
I want her! Ummm I don't know if I can afford to feed her though ..hahaha.

It has to move slow slowly, there's no way for it to sneak out.
