Saturday 9: If You Can't Stand The Heat

1. It’s July. How has the weather been where you are?
The past two days it has been in the mid-90s with high humidity. Actually, this week really was the first week that the temperature reached the 90s. Even though I hate the heat, I will take it over snow anyday.

2. What is the best way for you to beat the heat?
Air conditioner, cold water, light clothing, and blinds drawn to lessen the sunlight.

3. “It’s not the heat, it’s the humidity.” Do you buy that?
I don't buy anything these days. They both suck.

4. Do you like hot tubs or saunas?
I've been in both and I prefer a hot tub. Hot tubs can be fun if you are with the right person!

5. What’s the hottest you’ve ever been?
It was 1988 in Las Vegas. I remember it was around 110 and I was walking down the blvd with flip-flops on. I was not happy.

6. How many times do you hit the beach in the summer?
I live about an hour from the Jersey shore. We go to the boardwalk about 3 or 4 times a month in the summer. We usually do not go on the beach though.

7. When you were a kid, what did you do in the summer?
My Mom would rent us a bungalow for a week or two down the Jersey shore in Lavalette. We would do that or go visit my cousins in Florida. Towards the end of her life, we went to California 3 summers in a row.

8. Surfing. Have you ever gotten on a surfboard? Umm NO. I have absolutely no coordination and am terrified of breaking every single bone in my body being thrown by a wave. Body surf? No to that too. That would probably be the result of my surfing...my body going through the water without a surfboard leading to my ultimate death and/or dismemberment

9. What’s your favorite summer song?
