The Queen's Meme #8

1. What is the craziest thing you've ever done in the name of love?
I was engaged one time before my husband. My fiance "at the time" was in the US Army. While he was away during his AIT Training, we lost power in our apartment. Umm, I promised to write him everyday. I wrote him for three days by candlelight. Not so crazy....pathetic maybe. LOL

2. How much mystery should there be in a relationship? Is it a good thing or not?
Sometimes mystery is a good thing. If you tell a partner everything, they may use it against you or bring it up during an argument. Sometimes not knowing is better.

3. Is there someone in the blogosphere you'd like to get to know more intimately? Have you been too shy to ask? Let me help you. Write a 3 sentence anonymous blove letter to them in this meme.
Leave a link if you dare. (I promise not to tell!)
"Dear Blogger, I've been meaning to tell you for the longest time that I ___________etc etc"

Or if you wish, do some matchmaking instead. "Dear Blogger #1 and Blogger #2, I think you would be perfect for each other. This is why..."
Hmmm....I would love to set up Bud with someone but I don't know any single women!

4. Describe a "perfect evening" with the one you love.
Any night we get to sleep in the same bed is great. Since my hubby works the graveyard shift, we only get to spend evenings together twice a week!

5. If you are in a relationship, describe the one thing that makes it work well for you. If you are not in a relationship, do you want to be? If so, what type of romance are you looking for? What would it look like in your life?
The one thing that makes it work is accept each other's hobbies and support them. For instance, my husband is a huge wrestling fan. I tolerate it. I go to all his signings and conventions with him. I like to see him happy there. I also take all his pictures. Plus it is nice to see him enjoy himself. He doesn't thinks I'm nuts with my love for Elvis. Trust me, he will pay me back ALL the energy and time I have given him at his events for when we finally get to Graceland. I feel sorry for him from now.

6. If you had to choose between having good s*x (I told you not to let your mother read this) OR intelligent conversation on a regular basis, which would you choose and why?
Why do I have to choose? LOL

and finally.....a purely selfish question:

7. I've got the Bloggingham Blues. What type of man is right for Queen Mimi Pencil Skirt? Do any of you see love in her foreseeable future? What do you suggest I do to spice up my love life? What am I doing wrong????!
I wish I could tell you Mimi. I always say if something happened between my husband and I, I would stay single from that point on.

To The Over 30 Crowd

This was sent to me as a forward from my husband who received it from a friend. (And he told two sisters, and she told two sisters..LOL) Well, you get the point. It has been forwarded probably a hundred times. Sorta like Sunday Stealing. I can't and don't have the energy to find where the theft started. LOL! I thought this was SO funny to share with everyone of my bloggy friends who are over 30. The under 30 crowd does not know how 'hard' we really had it!!! LOL!

THE SPOILED UNDER-30 CROWD!!!
If you are 30 or older you will think this is hilarious!!!!

When I was a kid, adults used to bore me to tears with their tedious diatribes about how hard things were. When they were growing up; what with walking 25 miles to school every morning.... Uphill... barefoot... BOTH ways Yadda, yadda, yadda

And I remember promising myself that when I grew up, there was no way in hell I was going to lay a bunch of crap like that on my kids about how hard I had it and how easy they've got it!

But now that... I'm over the ripe old age of thirty, I can't help but look around and notice the youth of today.

You've got it so easy! I mean, compared to my childhood, you live in a damn Utopia!

And I hate to say it, but you kids today, you don't know how good you've got it!

I mean, when I was a kid we didn't have The Internet. If we wanted to know something, we had to go to the damn library and look it up ourselves, in the card catalogue!! (which normally had a wretched smell)

There was no email!! We had to actually write somebody a letter - with a pen!

Then you had to walk all the way across the street and put it in the mailbox and it would take, like, a week to get there! Stamps were 10 cents!

Child Protective Services didn't care if our parents beat us. As a matter of fact, the parents of all my friends also had permission to kick our ass! Nowhere was safe! Even some of our teachers could beat us.

There were no MP3's or Napsters! If you wanted to steal music, you had to hitchhike to the damn record store and shoplift it yourself!

Or you had to wait around all day to tape it off the radio and the DJ would usually talk over the beginning and @#*% it all up! There were no CD players! We had tape decks in our car. We'd play our favorite tape and "eject" it when finished and the tape would come undone. Cause - that's how we rolled, dig?

We didn't have fancy crap like Call Waiting! If you were on the phone and somebody else called they got a busy signal, that's it!

And we didn't have fancy Caller ID either! When the phone rang, you had no idea who it was ! It could be your school, your mom, your boss, your bookie, that annoying friend at school, a collections agent, you just didn't know!!! You had to pick it up and take your chances, mister!

We didn't have any fancy Sony Playstation video games with high-resolution 3-D graphics!
We had the Atari 2600! With games like 'Space Invaders' and 'Asteroids'. Your guy was a little square! You actually had to use your imagination!! And there were no multiple levels or screens,
it was just one screen... forever!

And you could never win. The game just kept getting harder and harder and faster and faster until you died ! Just like LIFE!

You had to use a little book called a TV Guide to find out what was on! You were screwed when it came to channel surfing! You had to get off your ass and walk over to the TV to change the channel ! NO REMOTES!!!

There was no Cartoon Network either ! You could only get cartoons on Saturday Morning. Do you hear what I'm saying !?! We had to wait ALL WEEK for cartoons, you spoiled little
rat-bastards!

And we didn't have microwaves, if we wanted to heat something up we had to use the stove! Imagine that!

That's exactly what I'm talking about! You kids today have got it too easy. You're spoiled. You guys wouldn't have lasted five minutes back in 1980 or before!

Sunday Stealing: Jodi's Meme - My Life According To Elvis Presley

I am HONORED that my meme from Facebook was chosen by our famous Judd from Sunday Stealing to be this week's featured Sunday Stealing Meme!!!! I have already done this meme a few days ago and featured the songs of Billy Joel. As everyone who knows me knows I am a huge Elvis fan (tattoo and all). People were quite surprised I didn't choose his songs to do the original meme with. I thought it would have been "a given" so I worked with my second favorite singer's music. Since my meme is the featured meme, I'm going to do it again and this time with my love - ELVIS PRESLEY!!!!

Saturday 9: I Ran Like Hell

1. When's the last time you ran?
This morning actually. I thought Harley (my cat) was going to bite my legs. My legs were uncovered as I took my 'night wraps' off. As many of you know I have lymphedema in my lower legs and I thought he was coming after me. So I ran across the entire apartment and into the bathroom. It was pretty comical. 82 pounds ago I would have gotten attacked. LOL

2. Do your jeans have rips, tears, and holes in them?
No, they do not

3. What are you dreading right now?
Actually the only thing I really dread is the winter time. At least this year I won't have my long commute in the snow & ice.

4. Do you like Mexican food?
I love Mexican food. Recently with my diet I've been eating more Mexican food. The taco platters are only 510 calories. Yum.

5. Favorite ice cream?
Before diet: Cookies and cream --- During diet: Fat Free Popsicle Brand Fudge Bars..only 60 calories.

6. When was your last doctor's visit?
Two weeks ago I had a podiatrist visit. I need to get toe surgery done on Aug 31st. Ugh! Oh yeah, maybe I am dreading that!!! LOL! Actually, they just have to cut out an ingrown toenail for the second time. He is going to cut 1/4 of my big toenail off and "kill the root" so it never grows back. It has been a thorn in my side all of my life. Time to fix the problem for good. Ugh!

7. Do you get the full 8 hours of sleep a night?
Nope, I'm lucky if I get 4 hours.

8. How many pets do you have?
I have my Harley cat. He is 16yrs old. We also have fish and a turtle, but that is really my husband's pets.

9. "First Loves Are Never Over;" is this true for you?
Part of me will always have a special place in my heart for my first love. But it is over and has been for 15yrs! I hope he is healthy & happy & treating whoever he is with well. I only wish him the best.

My Life According To Billy Joel

I was tagged on Facebook and thought I would post my answers here since Bud posted his answers on his blog. Bookkitten may be posting hers as well. I thought this was a fun one to do. Feel free to do this. I just posted the directions as is from the meme/tag. Enjoy!!!

PS... I was going to do Elvis naturally but I thought that was just "a given"...so I figured I'd challenge myself a little bit more.

INSTRUCTIONS: Using only song names from ONE ARTIST, cleverly answer these questions. Pass it on to 12 people you like and include me (you don't have to if you don't want to). You can't use the band I used. Try not to repeat a song title. It's a lot harder than you think! Repost as "My Life According to (BAND/ARTIST NAME)"

Sunday Stealing - Blame Tara Meme

Forgive me folks for not doing Saturday 9 this week. To be completely honest, I didn't like the questions. I was going to post a regular post, but then got tied up with errands.

I felt bad for my hubby because he got home from work around 9am, showered & then went to sleep. He slept about 4hrs. After he got up, we went to a BBQ at a couple's house that we are great friends with. We stayed later than expected. I wound up taking him to work. As I type this, he is working his graveyard shift. He must be totally exhausted. The graveyard shift is horrible. I can't believe I'm blogging now after 1am! I have to pick him up from work at around 8am. Oh well, I guess I got my second wind.

Anyway...onto the festivities....

Question 1: Who do you think is the hottest movie star?
This is an easy one. Since Elvis is deceased, I will name my other favorite....
Josh Holloway who plays James "Sawyer" Ford on LOST. I mean really!!! Just look at that beautiful face.

Photobucket

Question 2: Apart from your house and your car, what is the most expensive thing you have ever bought?
My Dell laptop

Question 3: What is your most treasured memory?
I know many of you know that I lost my Mom to cancer when I was 18yrs old. She was the most beautiful person I have ever met. Selfless, loving, and genuine. Anyway, she was always a homebody. I was going to karaoke about 2 nights a week with some friends after I turned 18. I hated to leave her but she insisted that I get out of the house. Well one week, maybe about 2 months before she died, she asked me if she could come along. I was SO happy to say yes. I didn't think that she would ever want to come. I didn't know if she "knew" she wasn't going to die soon because it was not something that she would have normally done. Due to the chemo & radiation, my Mom lost her hair. She wore a wig that evening to the sports bar we went to. She kept asking me if she looked OK. I kept telling her she looked beautiful. She did to me. We had the BEST time together that night. It is one of my favorite cherished memories. Not only did I go up to sing, but guess what - she came up and sang with me!!! Again, something that she never would have done before. The gentleman running the machine taped it on a cassette tape for us which I still have to this day. I wanted my Mom to choose the song. She chose Bill Wither's version of "Lean On Me". All these years later, I cannot listen to that song without crying. That was one of the best nights of my life.

Question 4: What is the best gift you’ve ever received as a child?
My crucifix ring my Mom gave me when I graduated the 8th grade.

Question 5: What is the biggest mistake you’ve ever made?
I'd rather not say - LOL

Question 6: Give four words to describe yourself.
Funny, strong, loyal, genuine

Question 7: What was your highlight or lowlight of 2008?
One highlight I can think of is starting my blog and meeting SO many wonderful people in 2008.

Question 8: What was your most embarrassing moment?
Well, it was more like my most embarrassing situation I was involved in. Back in Catholic High School, my best friend Colleen and I were in study hall cramming for our Biology mid-term exam which was the next period. It was just us and another girl named Jennifer. Anyway, one of the priests comes in named Fr Humphrey. He was a Franciscan Friar, long brown robe and all. He sits down and starts talking to us and asking us all kind of questions. Knowing Colleen, I could tell she was getting irritated because all she wanted to do was study. Well, he kept talking and talking. He then asked her, "So Colleen, what is biology?" She was just trying to answer him as quickly as she could to get him to be quiet and leave so she could get back to studying. She replied, "Well Father, it is the study of living orgasms." Jennifer and I almost died right there. Colleen had no idea what she said. She then looks at us with a questioning look. She noticed that we were trying to stifle laughter. Father Humphrey abruptly gets up and says, "good luck on your exam ladies" and leaves. She thought she said 'organism', but she didn't!!!! So funny yet SO embarrassing.

Question 9: Tell something not generally known about yourself.
That I am a Eucharistic Minister for my parish.

Question 10: If you were a comic strip/cartoon character, who would you be?

I Thunk It A Day Late As Usual

(PLEASE NOTE: I will be reading and commenting tonight on my regular blogs. I wanted to get my post up before I left the house!!! )
Hello Everyone! I'm finally recovered from my "day at the beach". I cannot tell you how hot it was there on Monday. I thought I was going to melt on the boardwalk. Now remember, because of my lymphedema in my legs, I have to wear compression stockings. Let's just say compression stockings with jeans over them along with 95 degree weather, do not mix. Trust me. I can't stress it enough.

Yesterday, I took a drive down to see my sister in her new home. That is why my Thunks are a day late and a dollar fifty short. I took two cute pictures of my nephewdogs. (I created a new word)
Here is Chester, the four year old chocolate lab....
Photobucket
Here is Max, the nine year old yellow lab....
Photobucket

Both have Aunt Jodi wrapped around their paws.

Speaking of Aunt Jodi, here is a new pic before I went down there. Before I got dog hair all over my new Elvis shirt.
Photobucket

Onto Thursday Thunks...sorry Kimber & Berleen that I'm late all the time. I know the saying goes, "Better late than never", it has become my mantra.

1. Hypothetical question- you are in a building with famous works of art, old manuscripts of famous novels, and original sheet music from famous composers. The building is on fire and looks to be completely destroyed. Do you grab any of the famous works before fleeing, and if so what?
If it is completely destroyed then why would I grab anything? LOL...OK, maybe you just meant the building. Well, pending the stuff wasn't bolted down, I would grab anything Elvis related. Duh!

2. In August 1969, the Manson family went on a 2 night killing spree. Do you think 40 years later they have paid for their crimes?
I honestly think that if someone takes a life that their life should be taken from them. Not necessarily by death penalty...I think they should be imprisoned for the rest of their life. This Fromme woman that just got released had several run-ins during her prison stay; attacking someone with a hammer and an escape. I don't think 40 years can necessarily rehabilitate a person.

3. Power Outage! What's the longest you have been without power?
Three days and I would not like to ever repeat it thanks.

4. Just bought a new tazer gun. Will you let it be tested it on you to see if it works, and how it feels to be tazered?
Let's not and say we did. Ummmm, NO thanks I'll take a pass on that one. Don't feel like having current shudder through my body and convulse on the ground.

5. A neighbor's mail was delivered to you. In it is a magazine not wrapped in plastic. Is it ok for you to flip through it before giving it to the neighbor? Do you tell them you looked through it?
I will confess!! I have done this with a Cosmopolitan once. When I lived in an apartment complex many moons ago, someone's Cosmo was shoved into my locked mailbox. It wasn't like I could put it into her mailbox since they were all locked boxes. So, I took it up to my apartment and looked through it. I then went to lady's apartment and left it by her apartment door. She lived on another floor. Hey, at least I returned it. LOL And no, I did not tell her I looked through it because I didn't know her.

6. If I went through your purse/wallet right now, what all would I find in there?
Squat. NJ unemployment barely gives you enough to pay your bills let alone have extra for your wallet. I think I have less than $20 in my wallet. I have an almost maxxed out credit card, my driver's license, and my Subway loyalty card. Thanks Jared!!! 79 pounds gone now..woot!!!

7. Have you been living under a rock?
It feels like that sometimes. Now that I have "more time", it doesn't feel like I have "enough". Does that make sense? I feel very lost sometimes.

8. Tell us something crazy you did this week.
OH, this one is EASY. Something crazy would be going to the beach/boardwalk in 95 degree, sunny weather with compression stockings and jeans on. Yep, I did that. Why you ask? Well because my lunatic husband says we needed to "do" something before the summer is over. It was his day off and that is what he wanted "to do". I sweltered, melted, and my legs almost ignited. Yeah, loads of fun. Loads.

Saturday 9 & Beyond

My Saturday 9 answers are below my rambling
Seriously folks. My life is SO boring. That is why I have not been blogging. I don't want to bore you all. Why should I make you suffer? I wish I had something interesting to say. I guess I feel like I'm in an unemployed rut. I have a daily routine. It consists of ~ I get up, eat breakfast, comb the internet & papers for jobs, during which I wait for my husband to get up since he works nights now. I then shower, get ready and we go out for a few hours in the late afternoon so I can "get out of the house". After dinner, he takes a nap before he has to go to work. He gets up, goes to work. It is now 10pm and I either sit at the computer, read, or watch TV. Booooringggg.

Rinse and repeat.

The good news is I went to an orientation last week at the One Stop Career center that unemployment sponsors. I luckily got a date set up for a training workshop. It is at the end of the month. They will go over different grants that can pay for school. The great thing is that they will continue to pay my benefits while I'm in school. Luckily NJ offers several extensions because any state that has over a 6% unemployment rate can get them. NJ is at over 9% almost 10% which is quite scary. Just in case I don't find work for some reason I'm protected until I think May of next year. Hopefully that won't be the case because I HATE not working.
Community Medical Billing, LLC Pictures, Images and Photos

Anyway, as far as school is concerned, I found a school that Unemployment has an agreement with. I want to study medical billing & coding. Now I just have to go "through the process" which is the training workshop and the waitlist for the funding. Luckily the school has modules and you can enter at any time during it. The classes don't have to be taken in order. So as soon as I'm approved, I can start. The program will take about 4 months. I would go for 4hrs everyday. They only allow 4hrs because during the other day hours students need to be actively seeking work. Everything will be covered - my tuition, books and fees. The only thing that wouldn't be covered is the national exam fee for my certification.

Hopefully these are the classes I will be able to take:
Microsoft™ Word (practical)--- which I know already
Microsoft™ Excel (practical)
Anatomy & Physiology (theory) -- Good Lord!!!!
Medical Terminology (theory)
Medical Ethics (theory)
Billing & Coding (theory)
MediSoft™ Office Hours (practical)
MediSoft™ Patient Accounting (practical)

I figured I really needed and want a career change. I think that everything happens for a reason. The travel industry has zero jobs. Since that is all I've known for 19yrs, I really have to upgrade my skills. I still do not know what I want to be when I grow up. Hopefully it is a medical biller. Maybe I can fulfill my quest to find a job that I can wear scrubs to so I don't have to worry about my wardrobe!! Hehehe
Photobucket
Keep your fingers crossed for me. I hope the workshop goes well and I will be able to get the funding! === NOW ONTO SATURDAY 9

Talk about RANDOM questions...

1. Have you ever seen a Broadway play? If yes what and when?
I live literally around 10 miles from Time Square (although in NJ). I have never seen a Broadway play. So many are musicals and I am not into those.

2. Tell us about one strange event in your life this week.
Let's see, last week I got bit by a Russian blue hamster at a pet store. This week? Something strange? I got nothing. Sorry.

3. Have you ever lied to "get the guy/gal"?
No because really, what is the point? And lie about what exactly?

4. Tell us about your best friend.
I have my best friend Colleen whom I've known since kindergarden. We met by the hopscotch area. She is great, funny & sticks with me after 32yrs. I have my sister Jenny who is the kindest soul in the entire world. She is selfless and genuine. I adore her. She has stuck with me for 37yrs. I have my husband Larry who is a great guy. He is legally stuck with me. LOL! We've been together for 13+ years.

5. What was the best vacation that you ever had?
Back in my junior year of high school was the last vacation my Mom and I took together. She got diagnosed with cancer in my senior year. She saved up a long time to take us to California. It was my favorite trip. We went to Anaheim, Hollywood, Catalina Island, and even took a drive to Las Vegas. I'll never forget the look on my Mom's face when she saw me playing an Elvis slot machine. I was underage! No one stopped me. No one comes between Elvis and I...

6. What was the last big purchase you made?
Hmm? We had to get a new computer in January.

7. What is your favorite non-alcoholic drink and when did you start drinking it?
I have two. Coffee which I started really drinking about 10yrs ago. The other would be Diet Coke which I really started liking in my early part of high school. I also LOVE water. My favorite bottled water is Nestle Pure Life in case you were wondering.

8. When was the last time someone did not believe you?
If someone didn't believe me, they didn't share it with me. Sam? What's up with these questions this week? Weird.

9. You have signed on to direct a romantic comedy. Who are your stars?
Male-Hugh Grant, Owen Wilson, or Bradley Cooper. Female - Drew Barrymore, Sandra Bullock, or Kate Hudson.

Sunday Stealing and My Week

Sorry it took me so long to blog. I really had a crappy week and didn't want to come on here and whine. Well until now that is. Hehehe

On Tuesday I went to the pet store with my hubby. We go on his day off each week. The animal shelter behind the pet store keeps a few of their cats at the pet store in hopes that they will help them get adopted. There has been a cat there for adoption. Her name is Anna Nicole. She is just LOVE. She has been there for many months. She is 6yrs old, declawed, and a tad overweight...she weighs about 20 pounds. I seriously would take her but I'm afraid because Harley is on a special diet due to him having urinary tract disease when he was younger. I would alsobe nervous with the whole litter box situation. It would be hard to keep separate ones. Also, Harley just turned 16 so I don't want to stress him out. He is very territorial. Just look at her though...isn't she cute? Also, here is a link to ANNA NICOLE'S PetFinder page in case anyone is interested or if you know someone who may be. She needs a good, loving home!

How could anybody resist this face. I got to hold her just because I love to torture myself. I handed her back and cried. For some reason, I know I have to help her find a home.

Let's see what else happened at the pet store. Oh yes. I got bit by a Russian blue hamster. The little stinker. Too long of a story to post. All I know is, I didn't deserve it.

On Thursday I went to an orientation at unemployment to find out about schooling that they will pay for. I had to go through this whole big process to get a seat for a Job Training/Schooling workshop. Get this, it isn't until August 26th! Then at that point I go on the waiting list for the funding. It could take 3 months before I get cleared. But the good news is, they will continue to pay my benefits even in school. I decided to go for medical billing & coding. So we shall see.

That is pretty much my boring week. Onto the Meme....

My roommate and I once: Are we talking about a current roommate like my husband?? Because I don't want to talk about my roommate from hell again from years ago.

Never in my life have I: bungee jumped and I never will.

High school was: all girls, Catholic, and strict. Oy!

When I’m nervous: my stomach usually goes in knots

My hair: is finally back to being highlighted...see below pic

When I was 5: I met my best friend Colleen. We've been BFFs for 32yrs now! This pic was taken on Saturday.

When I turn my head left: I see a fish tank

I should be: updating this blog more often.

By this time next year: Hopefully I will be in a new career that I will love that has a short commute.

My favorite aunt is: My Aunt Lu. She is hysterical!!! She has some of the same mannerisms that my Mom had.

I have a hard time understanding: the meaning of life

You know I like you if: I call you

My ideal breakfast is: On my diet... 3/4 cup of Special K cereal, 1 cup of skim milk, and a small Gala apple. When I'm not dieting...Good Lord! Eggs over medium, burnt bacon, and well done hash browns with toast. Haven't had anything like that in 4 months.

If you visit my home town: You would be singing a song because a very famous song was named after it many years ago. I'll give you a hint...it had an amusement park there.

If you spend the night at my house: It would be the couch and a cat. LOL

The animal I would like to see flying besides birds:

Last night I: was exhausted....I've been sleeping like crap lately.

A better name for me would be: Jodi Presley or Jodi Holloway....umm, is this the 5th or 6th time we were asked this question? LOL

I’ve been told I look like: I don't look like anyone.

If I could have any car, it would be: Like you didn't see this one coming....

Sunday Stealing Plus

My Sunday Stealing is below my ramblings....
Well I survived the wrestling convention. There were about 300 people there and I was about one of four wives. Like I said, what I don't do for him! LOL! It was SO HOT in this venue that you can't even imagine. Now picture approximately 296 men in there sweating bullets. It was horrendous. I wanted to pass out.

Here is a new picture of me. This was taken this morning before we left. I just couldn't post any convention photos because my hair looked soaked in all of them.

1. Who was your FIRST date?
That would be in the 6th grade with Gary. We went to the park. We also hung out in my sister's backyard. Gary held my hand under her apple tree and kissed me on the cheek. He also asked me to be his girlfriend after he gave me a Smurfette stuffed doll.

2. Do you still talk to your FIRST love?
No, I do not

3. What was your FIRST alcoholic drink?
I remember drinking in an "establishment" underage. I didn't know anything about drinking. I ordered a screwdriver because it was the first thing I could think of.

4. What was your FIRST job?
I worked in a dentist office on Saturdays answering phones, filing, making appts, and cleaning the rooms from when I was 14 to 16. Then from 16 on, I worked part-time at a retail store in the mall after school and on weekends.

5. What was your FIRST car?
A 1978 brown Toyota Corolla which was nicknamed "the Miracle Vehicle". I loved that car despite not having any AC, an AM only radio, no power brakes, no power steering, etc. It got me through ANYTHING. I sold the car with 200K miles on it and heard it ran for years after that.

6. Where did you go on your FIRST ride on an airplane?
Florida

7. Who was your FIRST best friend & do you still talk?
Is Colleen. We met playing hopscotch on the first day of kindergarden. Thirty-two years later, we are still best friends. She's stuck with me.

8. Whose wedding did you attend the FIRST time?
The first wedding I attended, I happened also to be the flower girl. It was my sister Gina's wedding.

9. Tell us about your FIRST roommate.
She was the roommate from hell. I met her through a friend of a friend. My Mom had just passed away and I was 18 at the time. This woman was 28 years old. She just got divorced from her husband. We moved into a really nice 2BR garden apartment. I was working full-time right out of high school. Anyway, turns out that she maxed out all her credit cards, didn't pay her rent, brought home a different guy at least two or three nights a week, and got fired from her job. One day I came home and found her doing drugs on my deceased mother's coffee table. Please keep in mind that my Mom had just passed away maybe 3 months prior...so this is something that was VERY sensitive to me. I know how hard she worked to buy that table. So, in my fury, I went over and took a deep breath and blew "the stuff" on the floor and kicked her the hell out of the apartment that very moment. Luckily the landlord took mercy on my soul and broke our lease because she never paid the rent. They were only receiving my half of the rent checks. And who was the adult here?

10. If you had one wish, what would it be (other than more wishes)?
That I could bring my Mom back.

11. What is something you would learn if you had the chance?
Either how to speak Italian or how to play an instrument.

12. Did you marry the FIRST person you were in love with?
No

13. What were the first lessons you ever took and why?
Karate lessons when I was 10. I loved going. Only trouble was I kicked the teacher right in his uhhhh private area once when he wanted me to break something with my foot. I almost did break something. Yikes! --- Why did I take the lessons you ask? Because I wanted to. ;)

14. What is the first thing you do when you get home?
Feed Harley
