American Idol Top 12 Review Lennon/McCartney

Tonight on American Idol we have 12 singers singing the songbook of Lennon & McCartney. What amazing songs they have to choose from. Here is my recap & thoughts on each of the singers. As you all know I'm a little biased when it comes to 2 singers whom I just adore (♥ D.C. & M.J ♥ )

Syesha - "Got To Get You Into My Life" - It was just "eh" to me . I don't think she will make it much further in the competition.

Chikezie - "She's A Woman" - OH MY GOD! He was AMAZING! He TOTALLY rocked that song, changed it up and took it over! Loved it! I was pleasantly surprised.

Ramiele - "In My Life" - I'm sorry but I had to agree with the judges, it was boring.

Carly - "Come Together"...She did a phenomenal job. Really like her & love the tat! (Got two myself)

Jason - "If I Fell"....honestly, not crazy about it. The thing he keeps doing with his eyebrows drives me crazy!!!

David Cook - "Eleanor Rigby" - LOVED IT. Alright, yes he is one of my top two favorites, but seriously, he did awesome.

Brooke - "Let It Be" - It was OK. The judges loved it, I just thought it was OK. They kept saying other contestants were boring. I kinda thought it was boring.

David Hernandez - "I Saw Her Standing There" - I didn't care for this either. He really did overdo it.

Amanda - "You Can't Do that" - I wasn't crazy about this either. I liked her song last week better.

Michael Johns - "Across the Universe"...Ok..you know he is one of my top 2 BUT I will say, this song was good, but not great. He has SO much to offer and he has got an awesome voice. To me he sounds like Michael Hutchence. I know he has it in him...he just needed to sing a more upbeat song. I still adore him & still think it was one of the best perfomances of the night

Kristy - "Eight Days A Week" - horrible! I'm sorry, I didn't like it at all. There are risks and then there are big risks and she jumped past the big risk.

David A - "We Can Work It Out" - OMG! He forgot the lyrics !!! Didn't care for this at all.

Boy, this was a tough week for the contestants.

To me, the best performances in this order were:

1. Chikezie - He did the best! He took over the stage & took over that song!
2. David Cook
3. Carly
4. Michael Johns
