Here it is - "Mia Sorella" is Italian for "My Sister". The butterfly represents the beauty inside & out and the free spirit of my sister. It also represents my wanting her to be free of all the pain she has been having the past number of years. Black & purple are my favorite colors. Please note the redness around it is because it was just done & fresh. It isn't like that anymore. It is actually in the "itchy and peeling" mode. Just like a sunburn.

My New Tattoo
On Saturday, both me & my sister were supposed to go to get our tattoos together, but since she was sick, I went alone. My sister didn't want me to cancel both of our appointments so I will go with her when she is feeling better. We have both wanted to do a tattoo that represents "us" and our being so close sisters and plus we both like tattoos. I have now 3 and she will have 3 once she gets this. This is my only "visible" tattoo. I have a rose on my ankle & am always in long pants (yes, even in the summer). I also have Elvis on my upper arm and a short sleeve shirt covers it. This tattoo I got on the back of my neck..and you can see it if I wear my hair up, which I do in the summertime.

My nieces have the same Italian Mia sorella but with the country of Italy outlined...yes, we are Catholic Italians too!

hey,Jodi,I would rather have mono at leat that heals faster my takes 6mos. to 1 year howeer I was doing so good and then I got strep twice these year and my numbers wernt back down I was so up set b/c I was really trying hard to rest stay at home more and get rid of these virus I guess its just stuborn but i am praying and trying to think postive summer coming and my son well be out of school and I need to keep him busy,

and I pray your sister heals soon that the doctors can finally find it,it must be awful for her to be in pain I am just tried but pain that is hard.(how did you get over your mono)? is it getting hot up state we are already in the 100's and it only May,marina

OK, Jodi. We are of a different generation. I don't think I'm old enough to be your mom, but maybe close. This would scare me to death to have done. Also I personally am not trustworthy with anything permanent. I think that is the main thing that scares me because it must not hurt that badly or people wouldn't have it done all the time! And you know how Carly's face on her arm scared me. Having said that, this is very pretty, and as a mom of two girls, if they loved each other someday like you and your sister do, I would weep with joy over the matching tats. (Did I just say that???) :)
