Yay! I've Been Awarded

A big THANK YOU to The Book Kitten and Lyn at A Blog In The Rough for my Honest Scrap Award. I feel the love - twice!!! Thank you ladies!

The rules are simple, list 10 honest things about yourself - and make it interesting, even if you have to dig deep! Then tag 7 bloggers that you feel embody the spirit of the Honest Scrap Award.

Ten Honest Things About Myself
  1. I am an asthmatic
  2. I am an Elvis fan and even have him tattooed on my body. He is one of 4 tattoos.
  3. I love older movies and romantic comedies (chick flicks). My favorite actor is Jack Lemmon. My favorite old show is The Odd Couple. My celebrity crush is Josh Holloway.
  4. I have a phobia of stage curtains. I know it sounds silly. But I really do. When I was a little girl we had a "Haunted House" in my school's auditorium. It was on the stage. I was only 7 years old. When I walked through it, a man with chains came out in between the layers of stage curtains. There was about 10 layers on our stage. He scared the living shit out of me. I ran and couldn't find my way out and all I can remember is the dirty, musty, dusty smell of those stage curtains. I literally ran to the edge of the stage and sat down on it and nudged myself off. I was so scared. I still have a phobia to this day of them.
  5. I am an aspiring writer. I have 2 started novels. I write poetry and have since grade school.
  6. I am obsessed with checking the door when I leave the house in the morning. I check to make sure the door is locked at least 5 times. I'm obsessed with making sure Harley is in. Each time my husband comes down from the apartment I ask him, "are you sure Harley is in?". Harley is 15yrs old. You would think I would know my husband knows to make sure he is in. It is a sickness, I know. LOL
  7. I eat certain foods weird. Take Reeses Peanut Butter Cups. I eat the chocolate off first then eat the peanut butter. (Berleen will think I've lost my marbles)
  8. I have a fondness for Grover from Sesame Street, Papa Smurf, and I love The Magic Garden. They will always be treasured parts of my childhood.
  9. I adore Marilyn Monroe. I believe that she was a lost soul.
  10. Speaking of Marilyn and Elvis. I also love The Beatles and alot of classic rock. I truly believe I was born in the wrong time era.

People I am tagging

1. Sue at Coffee Slut
2. "S" at Scriber's Web
3. Staci at Life in the Thumb

I know alot of people have been tagged with this award so I'm going to stop at 3 people today.

I LOVE Papa Smurf!
I'm totally laughing at your stage curtain phobia. Too funny, but I can definitely understand why you have the phobia.
I hate the shower curtain being closed... I'm always worried that someone is hiding behind it, ready to jump out at me. I have no idea why...???

Ok you've done really honest to yourself. Congrats for that and the award too!
Honestly, some of your confessions are hillarious... I couldn't stop laughing here!!

We have a lot in common, Jodi! I, too, am asthmatic, and check the door frequently to make sure the cats haven't run outside (especially Maggie; she tends to escape often).

You told me your fear would make me laugh--it did! I mean, I know it's not funny to you, but hey, if that happened to me as a kid, I'd be afraid of stage curtains too!

Could you possibly post a video that shows us exactly HOW you eat a Reese's? I can't imagine you not getting melted chocolate all over your face!

Great answers! Glad you liked this one!
