Saturday 9: The Best Of What's Around

You can play here

Sorry I am getting to this late. I was out all afternoon with my best friend Colleen. We went out to lunch and hung out at the place afterwards. We had a very nice time. She is just too cute. She bought me a magnet from NYC where she works. She recently started a position in the City back in September.

Ok...onto the Meme.....

1. What's the best new website you've found?
For me it is www.writerdigest.com I am loving that website very much.

2. What's the best movie you've seen?

Recently I loved "Sex And The City". But older movies, my favorite is "Gone With The Wind", "Grumpy Old Men", "Grumpier Old Men", "My Cousin Vinny", "Sister Act". I love alot of romantic comedies.

3. What's the best quote you know?

I have a few:
1)"Do small things with great love" Mother Teresa
2)"You should never assume" - Felix Unger
3) "For the love of God!!!!!" - Jodi

4. What's the best book you've read?

See this is hard. I like alot of books. I'm a fan of Janet Evanoich, Jennifer Weiner, and have recently started reading Sophie Kinsella. It is hard to narrow it down to just one.

5. What's the best thing someone's done for you?

My mother giving me life. She worked two jobs all her life to support me and give me a good education. Sadly she passed away at the age of 56 when I was 18.

6. What's the best thing about your job?
Working across the hall from my friend Joyce who owns a nail salon ;) - LOL! Oh OK, you meant the job itself. I have some wonderful clients.

7. What’s the best CD you own?
Elvis Presley's "Aloha From Hawaii", Billy Joel's "The Stranger", Meatloaf's "Bat Out Of Hell", Pearl Jam's "Ten", Melissa Etheridge's "Yes I Am", U2's "Rattle And Hum" and SO many more.

8. What’s the best new TV show you watch?
"Gary Unmarried", that show is hysterical.

9. What’s the best car you’ve owned?
Believe it or not. It was my Mom's and when she passed away I had it for another 4 years. It was a 1978 Toyota Corolla. It didn't have power steering or brakes. It has an AM radio. But this car was nicknamed by one of my dear friends as "The Miracle Vehicle". It got through anything - rain, sleet, mounds & mounds of snow. It was awesome. It turned over 200K miles when I sold it.

You like an Elvis album? I am so shocked. I will go wimpering into the night in shock and awe...

Bud - don't worry, the shock will wear off in a little while. LOL! I am shocked at myself that I forgot to list a John Lennon one and a Beatles one too. Led Zeppellin..what is wrong with me!?!?! (Bud, I seriously could have named tons of Elvis ones...I was trying to be good and name only one..LOL!)

I was surprised that you only listed 1 Elvis album!
I like my Toyota Corolla, too...and my Toyota 4-Runner. Does that make a trend?
:) Happy weekend
