Today I went to a book signing for my husband since he was working & could not attend. It was for former WWE (WWF) Wrestling manager Captain Lou Albano. You may also know him as Cyndi Lauper's "Dad" in her "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" video. Here are some photos:

This is Captain Lou Albano today signing his book, "Often Imitated, Never Duplicated". We've met him several times. He remembered me & said "Hi Sweetheart, it's nice to see you again!". Capt Lou is a very religious man. He said "God Bless You" to me about 6 or 7 times. 
The wrestler Sandman from ECW (WWE) was also there because he is friend's with Lou. This picture below is him signing an 8x10 of a picture of him & my hubby from the last time we met him.
Sandman remembered me from the last signing and asked where he my hubby was. I told him that he was working and was so upset that he couldn't make it today. He said, "Can I call him?" I said "Yeah, sure he would love it and this is actually his lunch break". He was going to call from his cell phone but I said that he probably wouldn't pick it up because he wouldn't recognize the number. So he took my cell & called him. (Note the PINK Motorola Razr..I think it is hysterical, this big burly guy holding my pink phone..LOL). It really made my husband's day because after he talked to him, Captain Lou got on the phone with him too. It was like he really was able to be there, you know? I was SO lucky because I got there early and so did they. They started signing an hour before they were supposed to so it was just me and them! I was in and out in 15 minutes. WooHoo!

Sue - Thanks! I really felt bad because he misses so much because of his job. There are usually 2 conventions (wrestling) that he takes off for a year..but little signings like this he wouldn't miss a day for so I went for him.

SW - It was very sweet. I was happy because it made him feel like he was there is a sense. I was so happy I got their early. Captain Lou was on the WWE wrestling and he did Super Mario Brothers as well. I think there was something else, but I can't think of it right now.
