A terrible force has entered my life again. That force is procrastination. I fell victim for it. I admit it.So much has been going on recently in my life and I have been procrastinating assignments that I need to finish for my class. I have two from last week and I'm getting a brand new one tomorrow. And then there was three. Deep breath. I can do this. This is my dream. I need to show procrastination the door because I can now breathe again. There is light at the end of the tunnel.
This afternoon Harley's vet called me up. His full thyroid panel came back completely normal. Remember three weeks ago he tested two types of thyroid T3 and something else? The results of that panel were that one level was normal and the other was slightly above normal range. These results from Friday's test were both normal. Thank you God! I prayed for this.
The doctor said I just need to watch him and make sure that he doesn't lose any more weight. He can eat whatever and whenever he wants. What seems like an easy task is actually a hard task since Harley is on a medically prescribed veterinary diet and can only eat that. He has been on this prescription diet since he was 4yrs old. I feel bad for him because picture eating the same thing day in and day out for 11 years straight. Blech! He wants to see him in 4 to 6 months to retest his blood. Sooner if I see a problem.
Today I am thankful for Dr. D for taking wonderful care of him and calming my nerves. Thank you to all my bloggy friends for your support, prayers, kindness, thoughts & concern. It means more than you can ever know. I can now go and attack those assignments with fervor. I now want to run towards that light at the end of the tunnel and embrace it and feel its warmth in these cold days and thank the Person who sent that light and for the miracle He gave me.

I am so happy that everything is ok with Harley! Write the company and tell them they need to make more different flavors of his special food!
Have a shot of espresso in your DD coffee and you'll get your assignments done in no time flat!
I hope you have a beautiful day - stay safe and warm!
Sue - Thank you SO much! He is more like himself this morning too. I see an improvement everyday. You had to see him last night all curled up on the bed with us. I was able to sleep more rested. Of course I got up at least 5 times to check him, but I was able to fall back asleep.
I certainly do need that shot of espresso today in the coffee. I think I may ask for it. Oh get this...it is 60 degrees out right now! Can you believe it? It is going up to 63 or 65 today. It is raining right now and we are supposed to get snow tomorrow. Can you explain this to me?
I hope that you have a beautiful day off. Please when you see Dianne give her a big hug from me. Stay warm and safe too my friend. Harley wants me to tell you to let Maggie know he's almost ready. LOL! ♥
Great news about Harley! Yeah!
And good luck with your projects. You are not procrastinating. Simply churning ideas in your head.
Have a great Wednesday!
Fantastic to hear that Harley's test came through normal. I hope maybe you can find some sort of treat that you can slip him every now and then to relieve the dolldrums of food repetition. Good luck getting your assignments finished, I know you can do it!
SW - Thanks so much! It really is great news. I'm SO happy and relieved. Now just to keep his weight the same or a little higher we'll be good to go. --- Thank you for the encouragement about my procrastination. Yeah, that is it. I'm churning ideas. Good thinking! (anything to make me feel better! hehehe) Speaking of feeling better, I hope you are feeling better from your cold. Have a nice day my friend!
Amber - Thank you for what you said about Harley & your encouragement about my assignments. I really got to get them started so I don't overwhelm myself. LOL! I forgot to mention I asked the vet about treats and he told me that he can't have them but I can slice his food up and bake it in the oven and let it cool and he could have treats that way. I somehow don't think Harley is going to go for that. LOL!
It's a long time since I did assigments, but I found that like posts, once you get into flow, most can be done in one sitting of a few hours.
go get to it girl! You can do it :)
Hooray for a not sick harley too
Thanks for the hug (via Coffee Slut). It was great to go to lunch with her and Jim-Bob. I wish she lived closer - at least when she worked in Leominster I saw her a lot more often. Again, thank you for the hug. I'm doing better.
Crushed - I know, I got to get going with it. Once I sit down and do it...I'll finish all of them at once. I just have to get in the right frame of mind.
Lyn - I know, I'm so bad..I'll get to it I promise! Hehehe. Thank you about Harley, I'm so relieved.
Dianne - You are very welcome for the hug. I wish I could have given it to you in person but Sue is a great proxy. Hehehe. I know, that is the only negative thing about her transfer it is isn't as close to you anymore. -- I am glad that you are doing better. Please know I'm praying for you!!
So glad Harley's tests came back normal. I can totally relate with the procrastination (the laundry sucks post). Hang in.
I am really good at procrastinating! I am so glad that things are looking better with Harley. I know that was no good for you.
HUGS
NurseExec - I'm glad to know I'm not alone. Procrastination does suck. When you finally give in and do what you got to do it is like a ton of bricks being removed. You hang in too my friend.
MarvelousMOM - Yay, there are more people like me! Another bad character trait I have is that I'm easily distracted which only adds to my procrastination. LOL! Thank you so much for your comment about Harley!!! I SO appreciate it.
