Can I tell you just how much I LOVE Richard Simmons AND Doctor Oz. In my opinion, I just think that they both really, genuinely love people and want to help them.
Back in 1989, when I was 17yrs old, Richard was promoting one of his Sweatin To The Oldies videos at a mall I was working in at night & on the weekends while I was in high school. During a break at work, I got to say hello to him. He was ADORABLE. He came up to me and hugged me and said "I love you!". He was SO much fun. So full of energy and life. I knew from back then that he was going to change alot of people's lives. He gives people hope, encouragement & love.
P.S. Yes, he was wearing the tank top and the striped shorts. LOL

You are not alone! I love both of them, too! Poor Richard, I know so many people make fun of him and it saddens me because he truly does seem to be such a genuinely caring person! At least he can laugh at himself...I admire that in people. If we can't laugh at ourselves we shouldn't be laughing at anyone else.
P.S. I loooove the Sweatin To The Oldies videos! It is exercise I can actually do!!! lolol :-)

I was sitting at school thinking about pulling out my Richard Simmons tapes to lose the 12 pounds I gained over Christmas. I am a teacher in a private Christian school. When I found your blog and your words about Richard Simmons, it was just the reminder I needed.

I LOVE Richard Simmons too! I know I have a photo somewhere of him and "Tom" ...I'll scan and post when find it!
