Never A Drama Free Saturday

Yesterday, Larry and I decided to actually leave the house after getting almost 20 inches of snow on Thursday & Friday. He was dying to go to this Mexican restaurant we went to almost 10 years ago. It is a bit of a drive because it is in New York State.

Forgive the pictures, they are from my camera phone.

Here is the place...El Bandido. It is a very quaint, authentic Mexican restaurant. I hemmed and hawed at first because I had no idea what I could eat there because of my diet. Luckily they had a taco plate that had 3 tacos with rice and beans. I wound up having two tacos. Larry had my third taco and the sides. Larry benefits with my diet all the time!! LOL ~~~ Anyway, here is the place.

I loved the lights in this place. I just thought they were so cool!

Here is a pic of me that Larry took. He didn't want me to post the one of him because he hated it. LOL All is going nice and well while we were there.

We paid for our check. Larry used a credit card. I was trying to find someone to give the signed receipt to because it was like all the waiters disappeared. I finally found our waiter and he apologized for the delay. I hate to leave signed receipts on the table so that is why we waited.

As we were leaving, the cops were coming in there. The cop held the door open for me as a matter of fact.

That is the view of the place from my car. Of course curious me was trying to listen as the cops were talking outside. Apparently, some customers left without paying for their check. That is why I couldn't find our waiter, either he went after them or was calling the police. Never a dull moment!!!

It is always so nice to get out to eat. Jim and I went out for a nice breakfast this morning while Mike just stayed home and enjoyed himself. We also spend 4 hours just shopping around Brainerd. Didn't buy much but he did buy me a bird feeder for my kitchen window and some nuts and fruit seed, something we've never tired before. It was just a great day for us too.
Back to work tomorrow. Take care Jodi, study hard and don't forget to take time for yourself too.

Good thing you waited around to give him your bill!!
I miss Mexican food here...and my tacos from a mix are ok, but nothing like a good Mexican restaurant!
Jodi you look so good...you have lost so much weight! Congratulations and hope it is all going as you want it to!
