Meet Juan Pablo!!!

I feel so blessed beyond belief right now. Last night I was going through the blogs that I read, and I came upon Ashley's blog. She and her husband sponsor four children through Compassion. They act "as a Christian child advocacy ministry that releases children from spiritual, economic, social and physical poverty and enables them to become responsible, fulfilled Christian adults." Ashley posted on her blog that the best Christmas gift she could receive this year would be for someone to sponsor a child. I've never met Ashley, but I felt compelled to grant her that present. She had posted a few pictures of some of the children that are in need of sponsoring. Something drew me to this little boy's face. Isn't he just beautiful? When I saw him, I immediately wanted to help him. I actually wanted to scoop him up in my arms and hug him. My heart just wanted to burst. Tears immediately filled my eyes. I believe Jesus had me look at her blog at that very moment. I didn't even look at any of the other children on the website. Something told me that he was the one. Besides, when I clicked on his picture he has been waiting over six months for a sponsor! That sealed the deal. Plus I knew it was fate because my birthday is June 29th and his is June 30th. Hehehe.

Meet Juan Pablo. He is 5 years old. He is from Colombia. Juan lives with his mother and 2 other siblings. Juan works at home making beds and cleaning. Juan currently is not attending school because he is too young. His favorite activities are soccer, playing with cars and playing ball games. He also attends Bible class regularly. So this is my new little guy. I wanted to give myself a Christmas present. This is the best Christmas present ever! I will be able to correspond with Juan. He will send drawings and letters (once he learns how to write). I will post anything I receive about him so you can all share in his development. I can write him & send him things as well.
