Now onto other news: I am up after midnight trying to catch up on some blogs and emails. Today was a very nice day. I went up to spend the day with my sister. My other sister also drove up but she was only able to stay about 2hrs. I was up there for longer. It was SO good to see both of my sisters. I have to tell you though it was a relief to see my one sister though. Now all my regular readers know she has been battling with a kidney problem and had surgery to correct it. Well guys guess what - she has a kidney infection! Can you believe it? She went to the urologist on Thursday and he confirmed her suspicions. She had the normal symptoms she always got before. I just cannot understand how this could happen. She still has the stent in so her urine is passing through. What can be causing this? The urologist was stumped. I'm stumped. He gave her a round of antibiotics and said he will not make any further determinations until she gets the stent out on the 25th of this month. Oy!!! This poor woman, I wish I could take the pain for her...I just don't want her to suffer anymore.
Well we did have a nice visit. We took a ride for about a half hour to the tattoo shop we go to. It is funny how I word that because it is like we frequent it like a grocery store or something. We both have 3 tattoos each. She is getting her 4th one next month. She wanted to drop off the drawing to our artist. He did 2 of mine and 2 of hers. Now she will be beating me that stinker! LOL! You all saw on a back post my "Mia Sorella" with the butterfly tattoo. That means "My Sister" in Italian. Well, she is getting hers put on her wrist instead of the back of the neck where mine is. She is getting it like a nameplate bracelet with a design going around her wrist like a bracelet. So it should be interesting. We tried to convince our other sister to do it with us. She said she would get a t-shirt that says Mia Sorella instead. LOL! On a side note though, I was able to show my sister the blog! She loved it and she wanted me to tell all of you that have said kind things, said prayers or showed their concern a big thank you. She said it means so much to her and she really wanted me to express that to you all. So thank you from her!!!
When I got home, my hubby wanted to go out for a quick bite. Now I am convinced that people take me places just to see what is going to happen to me. I mean, trouble just finds me. Well, this Irish pub/grill we go to is where he picked to go. We go there and only 2 cars are in the lot on a Saturday night. That should have been the tell-tale sign. We go in and they are renovating and only the bar part is open. It has 3 patrons sitting at the bar and 6 empty hi-top tables. The owner tells us they have a limited menu. How limited you ask? Anything fried or put in the oven. Nothing on a grill. My hubby insists on having an appetizer. With not much of a choice he gets a personal pizza which the waitress said was small so it wouldn't fill us and spoil our dinner. OK when it came out I almost laughed my butt off. Seriously, it was the size of a coaster you would set your drink on. I literally laughed out loud. Well like I said, trouble follows me. The pizza sought revenge for me laughing at it. We split the coaster pizza in half with a knife. We let it sit to cool down. I took a bite finally and when I bit into it and pulled it from my teeth, part of the cheese was attached and slipped off the pizza along with SCALDING hot tomato sauce and fell on my lip and right under my lip above the chin. I literally dropped the pizza from my hand and grabbed what fell off on me, and threw it off of me. I couldn't believe how hot it was. I've spilled coffee, other liquids on myself, but this was the worst. I instantly could feel a blister forming. It must have been funny to watch me. Thank God there were only 3 other people besides us in there. I must have been a sight though. I had my soda glass with ice held up against my mouth for 10mins or so. I didn't care what I looked like at that point. Luckily though, it is just a tiny red spot you can hardly see. I thought it was going to be alot worse. It is more sensitive than anything hours later. Nothing surprises me though. I always seem to get hurt or embarrass myself one way or the other. Story of my life.

Oh Jodi! I hope it does not blister up! And for Pete's sake I can't understand about your sister, either. I will pray for her specifically. I'm sure she gets so discouraged. I'm also sure you are a huge light and blessing to her. When you write about how close you are, it blesses me because there are still siblings who love each other and remain close in this world. I haven't been around much because I've been battling something like tonsillitis, with my posts being pre-scheduled. But I'll be around!
I'm glad you had a good day and were able to spend some time with your sister! I hope the antibiotics are doing their job and making her feel better! I'll continue sending positive thoughts and healing prayers her way!
So jealous about the tattoo! I have been ready for #6 for YEARS, just haven't really figured out what I want and where to put it. Also the $ ...whenever I have the extra saved up, I always find something I NEED more. Ahhh ...someday!
Sorry about the pizza burn! I have had that happen to me soooo many times, and I've worn huge blisters on my chin! I can laugh about it now, but I know how painful it is!
Hope you're having a nice Sunday!
chris noth was great in law & order. i never watched sex & the city. i also caught Chris in a crossing jordan episode and he was great.
--I'd love to see your sister tattoo! I've got 5 of my own - they are addictive!
Linda - Thank you so much! Prayers are so appreciated by her. Really. She is just scared in case the surgery didn't work. Yes, you are right, it is so nice to have siblings be close. We truly are very blessed. As for the burn, I hope it doesn't blister up. It is very sore there. I'm trying not to touch it because I don't want to worsen it. It is just a red mark and very sensitive.
Sue - Thank you for your prayers for my sister. She really appreciates themm all. She is cute because she asks about you. She'll say, "tell your friend or how is your friend from the MB".
OMG! I didn't know you had 5 of them! How cool are you?!?! What are they of? We should post our pics up. I think I'm going to put mine up soon. Gee, you should think about #6 ideas. Wouldn't it be cute to do something coffee related???
Thanks about the pizza burn. It actually is doing better than last night. I probably looked like such a moron in the bar.
I hope that you are having a nice Sunday & had a nice day at work.
TT&T - I know - tats are so addictive. It was funny when we went to Jed (our tattoo artist) yesterday I said to him, "My sister wants another one"...he just smiled at me and said "Of course she does". LOL!
What are your tats of?
I am a fan of Noth from both versions of Law & Order and from Sex in the City. (I know a guy isn't suppose to admit to liking that show, but it is what it is...)I hope nothing but the best for your sister. I'll keep her in my thoughts...
Hey Bud! My husband likes SATC too. He thought he was going to be the only guy in the theater when we went to see the movie. Turns out there were a few of you guys there. Chris is a great actor. I really got to catch him on Law & Order. I'm surprised it has taken me this long to have seen an episode.
Thank you very much about my sister. You're a great guy!
