NaBloPoMo - August Day 20

This is today's HOT topic. I imagine this is very HOT. It is also very romantic. Unfortunately, I've lived in apartments all of my life and still currently do. So I've never had one of those "nights by the fire". I've have been over people's houses where they have one burning. I love the warmth it gives off, the smell, and just the sight of it. It is captivating.

What a day yesterday was! I was so busy right up until 4pm or so. At least the day flew by. Thank God. I am heading off to bed now. I am SO exhausted. I had only 3 1/2 hrs sleep last night. You know I high-tailed it to make sure I had enough time for my iced coffee.
Until later my friends....Have a good night sleep & talk to you later in the day.

I love fireplaces. We have a woodstove in our fireplace so no open fires here, but the woodstove is almost as good. There are many nights that the 2 of us would lay on the floor in front of it with a glass of wine.

I have never lived anywhere that had a fireplace, but I imagine they're nice to snuggle in front of in the winter! Great post idea!
Hope you're having a good day at work!

Fireplaces are amazing. We had one in the house I grew up in...a real wood burning one. I loved it. I was always camped out right in front of it. The first apartment I moved into had a fireplace, so that was nice and now my house has a gas one as well. I am anxious to use it this winter.

I also really like the warmth and romantic atmosphere of a fireplace!
