Today's HOT topic is the store Hot Topic. It is a store that sells novelty t-shirts, alot of retro t-shirts, accessories etc. The store is nicknamed "the loudest store in the mall". I've gotten a number of t-shirts there. Such as Elvis, The Beatles, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Guns & Roses. To see how they have a random items in there - if any of you watched American Idol Season 6 (where Jordin Sparks won). Gina Glocksen was in the Top 10. If you remember she had red streaks in her hair. Her hair dye was purchased from there. I asked her when I had an opportunity to talk to her. I thought they looked so cool.
Taken from their "about us" section on their website:Just like with the whole alternative music thing, Hot Topic customers were drawn to the underground cartoon, cult movie and comic book scenes. It was a unique culture they could call their own, and it was difficult to find merchandise from these licenses. Hot Topic brought the world of South Park, Care Bears, Superman, SpongeBob SquarePants and lots of other pop icons into our stores.
In 1996, with about 60 stores, Hot Topic became a publicly traded company on the NASDAQ under the symbol HOTT. The cash from our public offering allowed us to open more stores across the country. Hot Topic, Inc. continues to rock the malls. There are Hot Topic stores in all 50 states and Puerto Rico.

I haven't been in there in forever! Last time I was, there was some scary people... hahaha! Definitely interesting.
BG - Yes it sure is!
Steph - There are some interesting people for sure. I usually end up getting the salesperson who had 12 piercings on their face or those ear - RINGS...I put is separately because I want to emphasize how they are rings that go IN the earlobe and stretch it open at various levels of circumference. That grosses me out...I'm sorry. It just looks SO painful.
