Today's HOT topic is Major Margaret "Hot Lips" Houlihan. She was played by Loretta Swit.
The character got the name Hot Lips because:
Thanks to Wikipedia:During sex with Frank Burns, Margaret is initially unaware that the public address microphone has been planted beneath their cot, broadcasting graphic details of their rendezvous throughout the camp on its public address system. Other members of the camp overhear her saying to Frank "kiss my hot lips."

Omg I loved watching that show! Great post!
I loved hot lips on Mash! Now there is a gutsy woman. Sure, she picked all the wrong guys but she was awesome.
Hey Jodi...
ok, catching up here...
never knew why they called her "hot lips"...thanks, now I do! :)
beautiful flower picture...I love flowers (studying to be a floral designer)
Hot and sour soup makes me crave Chinese food...of which I can not find ANY good Chinese restaurants here, though there are pretty good Thai....good enough substitution right?
and last but not least...not a fan of hot tubs...I always feel like fainitng when I go from the extreme hot to the colder outside temps!
Have a good Sunday!

Sue - I loved that show too. I have a FUNNY story for you. Alan Alda lived in NJ when he was on hiatus filming MASH back in the late 70s. I lived in a town close to the GW bridge called Palisades Park..where the old song came from. It was just your normal town...nothing fancy. Well Alan was had a house in the town next to PP called Leonia. One day we went to the A&P supermarket and right there in the cracker aisle is Alan Alda standing there. I was all of 6 or 7 years old and I go up to him and say "Hi, your Hawkeye!". Well he got a kick out of me & said "Yes I am"..I was with my sister at the time. I think we spoke to him for a few minutes, he went his way & we went our way. My sister was shocked that he was in our little town's food store. That was the last I ever saw of him. A few years later I got to meet Mike "BJ" Farrell in Florida while we were vacationing there.
scriber's web - yes she was awesome. I loved her spunk.
BG - That is cool about you studying to be a floral desinger. I'm sure that will be a job that you will love. Putting such beautiful arrangements together. I love Gerber daisies and roses. They are my favorites.
I never had Thai food before. My nephew loves it and wants me to try it. I probably would with him because my husband knows he wouldn't like it. I'm a basic, breast meat chicken, shrimp, or ground beef kinda gal. I do like spicy but with those ingredients. LOL! So, I'm not sure if I will like it.
