Todays HOT topic is Hot Chocolate. How this brings back memories of my childhood. I can remember my Mom when she was still alive making this for me on a cold winter morning. I can see her walking over to me with the mug in her hands, clutching it with a potholder, careful not to scald herself. As she would hand it to me, along with the potholder, I would look into the mug and see the marshmallow mini-puffs floating yet melting at the same time. The aroma to me is nostalgic. Still to this day.
Do you have any special memories of hot chocolate?

I also have wonderful memories of my mother making me cocoa, but mine was almost always accompanied by cinnamon toast. A heavenly combination of flabors! Thanks for reminding me.
Hot chocolate after a day of playing outside in the snow. The smell of wet woolen mittens drying over the heating vents mixing in with the chocolaty aroma. I always had a spoon of marshmallow fluff floating on top instead of the marshmallows. Takes me back.
GREAT post!
