Does anyone live near this wonderful place? We LOVE Cracker Barrel. Unfortunately, the closest one to our house is 40 miles away. Yesterday, my hubby and I took a ride up to it. We figured 'why not?' . The drive was nice until it rained like the Heavens opened up. It was really bad, but only lasted about 15mins. Thank God. It was so bad that all the cars in all the lanes slowed down to about 30mph. That is a rarity in NJ. Luckily we got there safe & sound and enjoyed our dinner. We had a wonderful waitress who was just so nice. She is the type of person that you tip 20pct and throw in an extra dollar or two just because. Our food was very good. We both had the same thing, chicken fried chicken, but with different sides. The sides though are my favorite. I could just eat a plate of those and be happy. I left there feeling like I gained 5 pounds, but hey, how often do we get there? LOL!
I hope you all are enjoying your Sunday. Back to the grind tomorrow. I can never understand how fast these 2 days go. I guess it is true what they say - "time flies when you are having fun".

I've never been to a Cracker Barrel *sniff* I've only heard good things about them ...I just wish they'd open one up closer to where I live or work.

I heart Cracker Barrel! We use to have one 5 minutes from here but they closed it...how I miss that hash brown casserole.
Marina - the store is adorable too. My hubby was so proud of me..I walked right to the hostess when we went in, and when we walked out, we went to the cashier and I walked through all the good stuff and walked out!! It was like I was a horse with blinders on. I didn't want to look at the stuff because I would have spent a fortune.
Sue - Oh no! I'm not going to complain then. At least I have one that is accessible. You know what I've been dying to try that we don't have here....a Sonic. We get the commercials, but no Sonic. The closest one is over 100 miles away. Damn! LOL!

Midwest Mommy - OMG! I love the hashbrown casserole. That was one of my sides (I'm sorry!!). I always get that and since you get 3 choices, that along with string beans and mac & cheese. Yummy!

and Sonic is really cool...when we live in Texas they had them there. Their milkshakes are awesome...and the burgers too. My son loved stopping the car and having someone come and get your order and deliver it...and no less on roller skates!
